To ensure that the little ones don’t miss out, our region offers several highlights for children and the whole family.
Glacier Flea Safari: An Adventure for Young Treasure Hunters
At the Hintertux Glacier, children can discover the nature of the frosty mountain world in a playful way. On the Glacier Flea Safari, young detectives join forces with the glacier flea “Luis” on a treasure hunt—and have to solve quite a few puzzles along the way. Of course, there’s also a treasure map with the necessary clues. The safari is a fantastic adventure course located in the Sommerberg hiking area and is always worth a visit.

Glacier Flea Park on the Hintertux Glacier
A snowball fight in the middle of summer? What sounds so unbelievable is perfectly normal on the Hintertux Glacier—because at 3,250 meters above sea level, it’s always winter! The Gletscherflohpark on the Hintertux Glacier is considered Europe’s highest playground and has plenty of surprises in store for the youngest vacationers. There’s a snow tube carousel, a giant gondola, a bobsled track, and a mini-lift. Another Gletscherflohpark is located on the Sommerberg at 2,100 meters above sea level, where a climbing wall, a play castle, a giant slide, and a pedal go-kart track await.
Do the kids still have extra energy despite active days in the Tux Valley? Then it’s time for a trip to the Playarena in Vorderlanersbach, which is open every Saturday. There, fun and games await across a full 1,200 square meters, including an indoor high ropes course, a climbing wall, a soft play area, giant slides, and a trampoline park. You can reach Vorderlanersbach by car in less than 10 minutes.
