A winter wonderland as far as the eye can see. An almost endless variety of slopes, fantastic runs for beginners, and challenges for experts, all set against the backdrop of the lively atmosphere in the snack bars and mountain huts. Now all you have to do is decide: which mountain should you head to? There are several ski areas around Juns just waiting for your visit!

Eggalm and Rastkogel: connected ski areas

Small but mighty: the Eggalm ski area offers 21 kilometers of slopes to explore! The ski bus takes you to the lifts in Lanersbach, 3 kilometers away. The Eggalm ski area is part of the Zillertal 3000 Ski and Glacier World. Via the runs at Eggalm, you can reach the next ski mountain directly: the Rastkogel, with an additional 25 kilometers of slopes. In total, the Zillertal 3000 network offers 196 km of fresh powder snow slopes of every difficulty level.

Skiing 365 days a year

Hintertux Glacier

Just 4 kilometers south of Juns, Austria’s only year-round ski resort awaits you! Here, you can actually hit the slopes even in summer, as the runs are located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, where snow is guaranteed. The Hintertux Glacier offers more than 60 kilometers of slopes and a wide range of activities.

Snowboarding around Juns

The Betterpark on the Hintertux Glacier is considered an alpine highlight among snowboarders from all over Europe. No wonder: the park is located at over 3,000 meters above sea level and offers everything a snowboarder’s heart desires. While experts find their happiness in the Betterpark, beginners are drawn to the Familypark on the Hintertux Glacier. Here, there are up to 4 different lines with a total of 18 jumps. The Family Park thus offers the ideal terrain for practicing your first tricks on the board.
