Cross-country skiing in and around Juns
Tired of complicated bus rides or long walks just to get to the cross-country ski trail? At the Gletscherblick Apartments, you don’t have to worry about any of that—quite the opposite! To access the trail, all you have to do is step out of your apartment, cross the street, and you’re right in the middle of the Tux Valley’s cross-country ski network.
Right on your doorstep: the Junsloipe
The Junsloipe is a 2.2-kilometer loop through the charming winter landscape, running along the banks of the Tuxerbach stream for a good portion of the way. Even though the route is relatively short, the terrain remains moderately challenging. The first kilometer is a gentle uphill climb, with a 27-meter elevation gain. In the second section, you can look forward to a gentle downhill slope. Use of the Junsloipe is free for both classic-style and skating tracks.

Are you a passionate cross-country skier who prefers longer trails? Then the Tux trail network has a real highlight in store for you: the Luggi Gredler Trail takes you on a 14.3-kilometer loop from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit. Here, too, you can look forward to ideal access points, as the Junsloipe serves as a connecting section. The Luggi Gredler Trail is a welcome challenge for experienced cross-country skiers, as it involves a 210-meter climb.
